I was looking through some boxes and found this.
It put a huge smile on my face!
1968... 9 years old.
A gift from my Aunt Geneva and Uncle Art.
The page for brownies had a big check on it.
Not much has changed. Brownies are still a favorite!
I love the illustrations in here.
By Pat Paris.
I was very pleased to see girls and boys!
Kudos to Pat Paris and Hallmark.

IlOve tese and I wrote the recipe as I was looking for it
What a treasure! Love the soft shadow underlining the book in the first photo! And the illustrations are just the cutest!
Now nice to discover something you love especially that old!....
What an absolute treasure! We're almost the same age. :)
Precious!
Here's my Shadow shot. Enjoy your weekend.
I love brownies.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, yes. Me too. I'd give both my ovaries for a fudgy brownie right now. :::drooling:::
Great nostalgic images. Oh and as I type, I see a sloppy joe...whoa. I'm in heaven.

The vintage illustrations are so innocent and precious. A wonderful time to grow up, wasn't it? :)
Oh yeah! Brownies!
LOVE that you checked off your favorite recipe! Isn't it cool finding old books buried among your stuff? So much changed but so much the same :-) Great find!
I second that on brownies btw...yum!
Mmmmmm, your blog is yummy! I love brownies with Ice Cream.
Thanks for visiting my blog!!
I love this! Wouldn't it be great if Aunt Geneva could see this post!
I absolutely love illustrations like those. I have an old Betty Crocker cookbook, from the 50's, and it's very pleasant to just sit down and leaf through it enjoying the drawings from another generation.
I love the old cookbooks. So nice that you still have yours! (I graduated from high school in 1968!) Happy SSS.
