Lemon Bread

1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 t. almond extract
1 1/2 cup flour
1 t. baking powder
1/2 salt
1/2 cup milk
1 T. grated lemon peel

Mix butter and sugar.  Blend in eggs one at a time.  Add extract, and mix.
Sift together the dry ingredients.  Add to the egg mixture alternately with the milk.
Blend just enough to mix.  Fold in lemon peel.
In a greased loaf pan, bake in a 325 degree oven for 50 - 60 minutes.
Glaze immediately with a mixture of 3 T. lemon juice and 1/4 cup sugar.
Cool for 10 minutes.  Remove, and flip right side up.
